About IHCS
Two decades of licensed home care, still run the way it started: personally.
Founded in 2005, built on referrals
Igbans Home Care Services began with a handful of caregivers and one standard: send the kind of caregiver you'd want in your own mother's home. That standard did the marketing for us — the agency grew family by family, referral by referral, across Queens and outward through the five boroughs and Long Island.
Today IHCS operates as a New York State Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) under Article 36, with registered nurses supervising the clinical side and coordinators who pick up the phone on the second ring. The scale changed. The standard didn't.
Three commitments we hire and fire by
Dignity first
Care happens in bathrooms and bedrooms, at a person's most vulnerable. Our caregivers are trained to protect pride as attentively as they prevent falls.
Show up
Reliability is the whole product. We match caregivers by distance and schedule realistically, keep backups ready, and treat a missed shift as a serious event.
Tell the truth
About what insurance covers, what we can staff, and what your loved one actually needs — even when the honest answer is a smaller engagement for us.
Licensed, audited, verified
- NYS DOH licensure — we operate under Article 36 as a Licensed Home Care Services Agency, subject to state survey and audit.
- Screened caregivers — criminal background checks, fingerprinting, health clearances, and reference verification before any caregiver enters a client home.
- Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) — every shift is digitally verified for time and location, as federal and state law requires.
- HIPAA-conscious operations — health information is collected and stored only in compliant systems, never through this website.
Leadership & team
IHCS is led by its founding family and staffed by an agency director, RN clinical coordinators, client-service schedulers, and a billing team that speaks fluent MLTC.
Want to join them? We're always hiring caregivers who meet our standard.
